Interior & Exterior Doors

A well-made door announces itself every time you touch it.

The Craft

Doors do quiet, constant work — they shape how rooms connect inside and they make the first impression at the curb. We build and hang custom interior passage doors and grand exterior entries alike: solid slabs set dead-plumb so they swing true and latch with a satisfying, solid sound, and weather-sealed front doors built to face Colorado sun, wind, and snow for decades.

How We Work

From first visit to final fit

01

Consult

We start on-site — listening to how you live in the space, taking careful measurements, and understanding what you want it to become.

02

Design

We turn it into clear drawings and material selections, so you can see and sign off on every detail before a board is cut.

03

Build

Each piece is crafted by hand with the joinery the job calls for — measured twice, built once, and checked at every step.

04

Install

We fit, scribe, and finish on-site so the final result looks like it was always part of the home.

Materials & Joinery

Built from the right stuff

The materials and methods we reach for on a project like this.

  • Solid-wood interior doors — flush, fluted, raised-panel, or reclaimed plank
  • Grand exterior entries — single, double, and oversized pivot front doors
  • Weather-suited species and six-sided sealing built for the Colorado climate
  • Precision-hung and shimmed dead-plumb to swing and latch true
  • Custom cased openings, jambs, sidelights, and transoms
  • Hidden bookcase doors, flush jib doors, and concealed passages with seamless reveals
  • Hardware to match — hand-forged iron, unlacquered brass, or modern stainless

The Details

Where the craftsmanship shows

Hung to swing true

A door is only as good as its hang. We plumb the jamb, shim the hinges, and set the reveals so the door closes with one easy push and an even gap all around.

Entries built to face the weather

An exterior door takes sun, wind, and big temperature swings every day. We build entries from stable, weather-suited wood, seal all six faces, and set proper thresholds and weatherstripping so they stay tight and true through Colorado seasons.

Panels built to stay flat

Frame-and-panel construction lets the wood move with the seasons without warping or splitting, so the door looks as crisp in year ten as on day one.

Common Questions

Good to know

Will a custom wood front door hold up to Colorado weather?

Yes — we build entries from stable, weather-suited species, seal every face and edge, and set proper thresholds and weatherstripping. A well-built and maintained wood entry handles intense sun, wind, and snow for decades.

Can you replace builder doors throughout the house?

Yes — swapping flat hollow-core doors for solid panel doors and crisp casing is one of the highest-impact upgrades in a home, and we can do it room by room.

Do you make the doors or just hang them?

Both. We build custom interior slabs and statement exterior entries, and we also expertly hang and case doors you've sourced.
